  • Apparently a circle, centered on 37° 05' N, 3° 30' E, just off the coast of Algiers, has San Francisco at a Phi ration between Nazca and Angkor. The direction passes along Columbus Avenue. (The Transamerica Pyramid can therefore be seen as a marker). [Checking, the line is not exact, but for the length of Columbus, its about 30 feet off. It does pass under the pyramid... and Lick Obs. is only a couple of miles off the line].

"Q: Why is Grace Cathedral at the top of Nob Hill a sacred spot?

A: Nob Hill had originally been a pilgrimage site and shrine for Native American peoples -- it was a place for them to go and pray. And there was a small pagan shrine near the spring, as they call it."

"A square structure looming above the summit of Mount Umunhum (some say it looks like a giant sugar cube) makes the mountain easy to identify from almost anywhere in the south bay, but for many it's just a daily reminder of the Air Force's desecration of a sacred peak Ohlone Indians called "resting place of the hummingbird.""

"The (Angel) island has a colorful history. The first known people to inhabit the island were the Coastal Miwok Indians. Mount Livermore, the highest point on the island (781 feet), was used by the Miwoks as a sacred place. The island was originally covered by dense forest"
